Omega Watches

  1894 : The company developed a revolutionary new movement called the "Omega" caliber , known for its accuracy and ease of repair. It was so successful that the company eventually adopted "Omega" as its official name. 1903 : The firm was renamed Louis Brandt et Frère – Omega Watch Co.

  Omega is one of the most prestigious Swiss watch brands, with a rich history that dates back to the 19th century. Founding and Early Years 1848 : Louis Brandt founded a small watchmaking workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland . He assembled key-wound pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. 1879 : After Louis Brandt’s death, his sons Louis-Paul and César Brandt took over and moved operations to Bienne (Biel) in 1880 to access better infrastructure and labor.
