Seamaster 300 Master Chronometer
Omega Seamaster 300 Master Chronometer
The Omega Seamaster 300 Master Chronometer is the modern-generation version of Omega's historic Seamaster 300 dive watch. The current design draws heavily from the original 1957 Seamaster 300, while incorporating Omega's modern Co-Axial Master Chronometer movement technology.
History
The original Seamaster 300 debuted in 1957 as part of Omega's professional "1957 Trilogy," alongside the Speedmaster and Railmaster. The modern Seamaster 300 was introduced in 2014, and the latest generation arrived in 2021 with significant technical and design updates.

Vintage-Inspired Design
One of the most distinctive features of the modern Seamaster 300 is its connection to the original 1957 model. The broad-arrow hands, recessed hour markers, Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12, and vintage-style bezel all reference early Seamaster 300 watches.
The 2021 generation also uses a sandwich dial, with recessed luminous material underneath the dial surface. This gives the watch considerable depth and a more vintage appearance.
Popular Versions
The Seamaster 300 Master Chronometer has been offered in numerous configurations, including:
- Black dial / stainless steel
- Blue dial / stainless steel
- Bronze Gold
- Bronze-gold and stainless-steel combinations
- Stainless steel with leather or bracelet
- Various limited and special editions
Master Chronometer Technology
The Master Chronometer designation is important because the watch undergoes METAS testing after being regulated and tested by Omega. The testing covers areas including precision, magnetic resistance, water resistance, power reserve, and performance under different conditions.
The Calibre 8912 also uses Omega's Co-Axial escapement, designed to reduce friction and maintain long-term performance.
